"Each day demands we create our whole world over, disguising the constant horror in a coat of many-colored fiction" -S. Plath

“‘People,’ I thought, ‘wanted security. They couldn’t bear the idea of death being a big black nothing, couldn’t bear the thought of their loved ones not existing, and couldn’t even imagine themselves not existing. I finally decided that people believed in an afterlife because they couldn’t bear not to.’”

Isabelle: What sculpture?
Mathew: I’ve always wanted to make love to the Venus de Milo.
Isabelle: I can’t stop you. I’ve got no arms.

Zombie by The Cranberries

I am becoming obsessed with this song ever since I heard it while riding in my friends car. It was five of us and we were on the highway and the sun was setting and the windows were down and the sky was a alive with colors and our hair was flying around and with my eyes closed and head bobbing, it was epical. “And in that moment we were infinite”, I can truly understand that quote now. This is definitely good music and more people should listen to it. -Lala

“When I see you, the World stops. It stops and all that exists for me is you and my eyes staring at you. There’s nothing else. No noise, no other people, no thoughts or worries, no yesterday, no tomorrow. The World just stops, and it is a beautiful place, and there is only you.”

Until next time.
William Miller: Do you have to be depressed to write a sad song? Do you have to be in love to write a love song? Is a song better when it really happened to you? Like “Love Thing,” where did you write that and who was it about?Russell Hammond: When did you get so professional?
…..
Lester Bangs: You CANNOT make friends with the rock stars. That’s what’s important. If you’re a rock journalist - first, you will never get paid much. But you will get free records from the record company. And they’ll buy you drinks, you’ll meet girls, they’ll try to fly you places for free, offer you drugs… I know. It sounds great. But they are not your friends. These are people who want you to write sanctimonious stories about the genius of the rock stars, and they will ruin rock and roll and strangle everything we love about it.
…..
Lester Bangs: Yeah, great art is about conflict and pain and guilt and longing and love disguised as sex, and sex disguised as love… and let’s face it, you got a big head start.
…..
Lester Bangs: My advice to you. I know you think those guys are your friends. You wanna be a true friend to them? Be honest, and unmerciful.
…..
Penny Lane: You’re too sweet for rock and roll.William Miller: Sweet? Where do you get off? Where do you get sweet? I am dark and mysterious, and I am PISSED OFF! I could be very dangerous to all of you! And you should know that about me… I am THE ENEMY! a

Frida Kahlo
